It measures the energy, which circulates in one or both phases of a one or two-phase magnet; it communicates using a RS-485 cable; it is self-powered and may be connected to the rest of the CcM devices.
CcM2 smart meter or grid analyzer is one of the devices from the CcM smart meter product family designed to measure electrical parameters (voltage, current, energy, harmonics, etc.) in single-phase installations with a neutral wire or in two-phase installations.
The CcM smart meter product range consists of a set of devices used for the energy efficiency, submetering and the monitoring of electrical parameters inside the electrical switchboard in single- and three-phase installations. They are best suitable for installation in thermal-magnetic switches or residual-current circuit breakers to obtain multiple measures in multiple points and to be physically interconnected using an RS-485 cable to a submetering design.
CcM2 smart meter is one of the “principal” CcM product family devices (CcM4, CcM3 and CcM2). Their function is two-fold. To work as a slave of the general master (PLC or PC, Windows/Linux or CcMaster) inside the principal bus and as a master inside the secondary bus, commanding other devices of the CcM family – CcM1 slaves (secondary).
The user is able to access the data from smart meter CcM2 through RS-485 communication cable, using Modbus RTU protocol or through one of the software tools offered free of charge, such as CcManager (configuration, viewing and storing in a local network or via a PLC window, Linux or directly with the CcMaster) or the Energy CcM webpage (viewing and storing data in the cloud through CcM-WiFi).
It is also possible to add the CcM WiFi peripheral to obtain data through a WiFi network (see the manual of CcM-WiFi, available on this website) and enable wireless communication with the device. The best way to configure a WiFi device from the CcM family is using the EnergyCcM App or by accessing the internal website of the WiFi device using its address.
As it can be combined and used with different devices within the product range, the CcM smart meter product family for submetering offers multiple configuration options and allows users to configure the most convenient solution for both, their domestic and industrial installations. Installations can be wireless or connected with a communication cable. The devices can be connected to each other and create communication buses, establishing configurable master-slave hierarchies.
CcM2 smart meter, for instance, behaves similarly to an energy meter or a grid analyser. Inserted directly into a thermal-magnetic switch or a residual-current circuit breaker, the device is connected in series with the consumption line, registering voltage, intensity, power, active and reactive energy as well as harmonics in each of the phases.
