in home smart meter CcM3

Smart meter analyser and counter without neutral wire.

It measures the energy, which circulates in each phase of a three-phase magnet or in one-phase systems with a split-phase with neutral wire, it communicates via an RS-485 cable, it is self-powered and may be connected to the rest of the CcM devices

What is the function of the CcM3 smart grid for submetering?

CcM3 in-home smart meter for submetering is one of the devices from the CcM product family designed to measure electrical parameters (voltage, current, energy, harmonics, etc.) in three-phase installations WITHOUT a neutral wire and/or in split-phase installations with a neutral wire (earth).

The CcM smart meter for submetering consists of a set of devices used for the monitoring of electrical parameters inside the electrical switchboard in single- and three-phase installations. They are best suitable for installation in thermal-magnetic switches or residual-current circuit breakers to obtain multiple measures in multiple points and to be physically interconnected using a 485 cable to a sub-metering design.

How does our CcM3 smart electricity metering work?

CcM3 in-home smart meter, in particular, is one of the “principal” 485 CcM product family smart meter for submetering (CcM4 , CcM3 and CcM2 - version 485). Their function is two-fold. To work as a slave of the general master (PLC or PC, Windows/Linux or CcMaster) inside the principal bus and as a master inside the secondary bus, commanding other devices of the CcM family – CcM1 slaves (secondary devices).

How do I access the data of the Smart meter CcM3 to smart building?

The user is able to access the data from in-home smart meter CcM3 through an RS-485 communication cable, using Modbus RTU protocol or through one of the software tools offered free of charge, such as CcManager software (configuration, viewing and storing in a local network or via a PLC window, Linux or directly with the CcMaster ) or the Energy CcM web portal (viewing and storing data in the cloud through CcM-WiFi ).

It is also possible to add the CcM-WiFi peripheral to obtain data through a WiFi network (see the manual of CcM-WiFi , available on this website) and enable wireless communication with the device. The best way to configure a WiFi device from the CcM family is using the EnergyCcM App or by accessing the internal website of the WiFi device using its address.

How to configure the Smart meter CcM3?

As it can be combined and used with different devices within the product range, the CcM product family offers multiple configuration options and allows users to configure the most convenient solution for both, their domestic and industrial installations. Installations can be wireless or connected with a communication cable. The electronic devices can be connected to each other and create communication buses, establishing configurable master-slave hierarchies.

CcM3 smart energy meter to smart building, for instance, behaves similarly to an energy counter or a network analyser. Inserted directly into a thermal-magnetic switch or a residual-current circuit breaker, the smart energy metering is connected in series with the consumption line, registering voltage, intensity, power, active and reactive energy as well as harmonics in each of the phases.
